CLE: Bench Bias Lingo with Mixed Blood Theater

Satisfying attorneys’ requirement for Elimination of Bias CLE, in this two-hour training actors reenact oral arguments of two disparate Supreme Court cases addressing race bias. Panels of lawyers and experts conduct moderated discussions after each theatrical illustration and contextual video precedes each section. Preparatory materials are provided in advance of each session. Presented in conjunction with Mixed Blood Theater Company and providing accredited Continuing Legal Education through live theatre, film, panel discussions, and group conversation.

For each case there will be:

– A performance by a talented company of Twin Cities actors,, drawn from edited transcripts of oral arguments.
– A panel of attorneys and/or judges discussing the relevant issues of the case.
– A film or video clip introducing the theme and giving fuller context.
– A facilitated audience/panelist discussion, led by attorney/actor Chris Carlson of Narrative Pros.
