Twin Cities Diversity in Practice (TCDIP) brings together over 70 law firms and corporate legal departments to build a legal community that reflects the strength and diversity of the region. Our mission is rooted in a simple truth: when all attorneys have access to opportunities, networks, and support, the entire profession grows stronger.
Through bold collaboration and sustained investment, we expand access to experiences that help attorneys of color thrive, lead, and shape the future of law in Minnesota. We need everyone –no matter your race, gender, or background– in this work. It takes all of us to build the future we envision together.

Our initiatives are designed to empower attorneys and support employers:
TCDIP 1L Clerkship Program
• Expands the pipeline to open opportunities and encourage more law students of color to apply for positions at top-tier law firms and corporate legal departments
• Creates early, high-impact experiences that position TCDIP 1L Clerkship students law students of color for long-term success.
Emerging Leaders Group (ELG)
• A space for early-career attorneys to build leadership skills, grow networks, and advance with confidence.
TCDIP Connect
• A mentorship program that fosters shared learning, support, and growth.
Employer Resources
• Training, tools, and shared learning opportunities to help legal organizations create inclusive, equitable workplaces.

Attract
Through TCDIP’s initiatives and programs, attorneys from all backgrounds work together to create a welcoming legal community that encourages attorneys of color to make the Twin Cities their home.

Recruit
We use innovative recruiting strategies to expand the pipeline for law students and attorneys from all backgrounds, bringing vibrant and robust legal talent to Twin Cities employers.

Advance
We build opportunities for professional growth by providing networking events, trainings, mentoring programs, and access to our Members and their vast networks within the community.

Retain
Attorneys stay and grow at organizations where they feel valued, seen, supported, and included. Attorneys at TCDIP Member Organizations have access to a deep network of supportive individuals who understand what it means to build community.
