Legal employers working together to build a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive legal community in the Twin Cities.

We’re not about theory — we’re about putting diversity into practice and promoting Minnesota as a great place for attorneys of color to develop professionally and personally.

Our Mission

To attract, recruit, advance, and retain attorneys of color in the Twin Cities through education and collaboration with member organizations.

Our Vision

An exceptionally diverse and inclusive legal community, free of systemic barriers, where attorneys of color have abundant opportunities to succeed and belong.

Our Focus

Our nation’s true diversity is not represented in the legal field today.

Twin Cities Diversity in Practice (TCDIP) is working on changing that. We connect our Members with resources and best practices to create more inclusive workplaces for attorneys of color. We turn good intentions into action through the active participation of all our Member Organizations.

TCDIP Members believe that diversity adds value to all organizations. We know that more diverse organizations are more profitable and craft more innovative solutions. Beyond the business case, we know that there is a moral imperative to develop and sustain diverse workplaces. We believe our law firms and corporate legal departments should be inclusive places for people from all racial and ethnic backgrounds to succeed in the practice of law.

This is why TCDIP, a professional association of more than 70 law firms and corporate legal departments, develops programs and initiatives to help our Members build a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive legal community. Through our programming and initiatives, we are at the forefront of advancing diversity and inclusion in the legal community by providing opportunities and resources to help Member Organizations effectively attract, recruit, advance, and retain attorneys of color.
