Tomorrow is the last day to register for the Minnesota Racial Equity Challenge! Program starts March 12
Registration for our Minnesota Racial Equity Challenge closes tomorrow, March 3! By engaging in the Equity Challenge, participants will gain a better understanding of:
- how systems of oppression negatively affect the lives of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in this state, especially in regard to housing, employment, education, health care, and public safety
- concrete actions we can take to be allies to each other in order to mitigate the negative effects of racism in this state
- Readings and materials include Anton Treuer, Justice Sonya Sotomayor, Derecka Purnell, Layla Saad, Mariame Kaba, and more.
Over the course of six months, participants will explore readings, podcasts, and other materials. Participants will meet twice a month for a guided discussion to process the readings and materials. After completing the course, participants will be recognized publicly by TCDIP with our Minnesota Racial Equity Challenge Certification. This program is open to all Minnesota based legal professionals at TCDIP Member Organizations.
