Early-career attorneys are often told to “figure it out as they go.” Build relationships. Develop a book of business. Navigate transitions. Lead with confidence. Do great work—while managing burnout and uncertainty.

What’s missing is structure, transparency, and community.

That’s why TCDIP is proud to launch the Emerging Leaders Group (ELG) Accelerator—a new professional development experience designed to equip early-career attorneys with practical tools, meaningful connections, and the confidence to build purposeful, sustainable legal careers.

As Elvis Kim of Carlson Caspers shares:

“The ELG Accelerator matters because early-career attorneys deserve more than survival—they deserve a community that helps them grow. This program creates space to build practical skills, deepen connections, and gain the confidence needed to shape a purposeful, sustainable career.”

What Is the ELG Accelerator?

The ELG Accelerator is a cohesive program that blends signature learning events with small-group coaching, offering participants both insight and application over time. Rather than one-off programming, the Accelerator provides continuity—helping attorneys reflect, practice, and grow alongside peers.

The program focuses on the real issues that shape long-term success in the legal profession, including:

  • Building a book of business

  • Navigating career transitions

  • Strengthening communication, leadership, and executive presence

  • Supporting mental health and sustainable performance

Coaching That Deepens Impact

A core component of the ELG Accelerator is five small-group coaching sessions led by Krishtel Coaching, facilitated by Imani McCullough and Rudhir Krishtel. These sessions create an open, trusted space where early-career attorneys can bring real questions about their legal practice, leadership and communication skills, navigating work-life balance, and career decision-making.

Coaching sessions focus on:

  • Leadership development, confidence, and executive presence

  • Communication, influence, and navigating firm and client dynamics

  • Career strategy, reflection, and sustainable growth

In addition to group coaching, ELG Accelerator participants may also book optional 1:1 coaching sessions with Krishtel Coaching for more individualized support. Coaching is an exceptional value for early-career attorneys, offering a neutral, supportive environment to work through challenges with peers and experienced professionals while building clarity, confidence, and momentum for long-term success.

Why This Matters for Early-Career Attorneys

Too often, early-career attorneys—especially attorneys of color—lack access to informal networks, clear guidance, and safe spaces to ask hard questions. The ELG Accelerator helps level the playing field by offering:

  • Practical, career-critical skills that are rarely taught explicitly

  • Peer community with others navigating similar challenges

  • Clarity and confidence around career direction and professional identity

Participants don’t just gain information—they gain momentum, connection, and a clearer sense of what’s possible.

Why Organizations Should Nominate an Attorney to Participate

If your organization doesn’t have an early career attorney in the Emerging Leaders Group, now is a great time to nominate someone!

By nominating an attorney to the ELG Accelerator, your organization has more power to:

  • Strengthen retention by supporting attorneys before burnout sets in

  • Develop future leaders with business, communication, and leadership skills

  • Demonstrate a tangible commitment to professional development and equity

  • Build a stronger, more engaged legal workforce prepared for long-term success

When attorneys feel supported and invested in, they are more likely to grow—and stay.

How the ELG Accelerator Fits TCDIP’s Mission

For 20 years, TCDIP has worked to remove barriers and expand opportunity in the legal profession. The ELG Accelerator is a natural extension of that work.

By combining community, professional development, and organizational engagement, the ELG Accelerator ensures that early-career attorneys don’t just enter the profession—but thrive, lead, and help shape its future.
